Marya Roxx

The artist with the name Marya Roxx is a former singer and bass player of the extremely popular Estonian girl pop-rock band Vanilla Ninja Maarja Kivi. Maarja was born in Tallinn, but lives presently with her husband and two children in the USA. To play hard rock has been her long time dream that has come true – she has her own band. After leaving Vanilla Ninja in 2004 Maarja released, two years later, two singles with her own songs. In 2010 she released her debut album "Payback Time" with mostly her own tracks. It was recorded in Malibu, produced by Kevin ”Caveman” Shirley (Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Led Zeppelin, Him) and played with guest musicians from different well-known rockbands. Platinum selling MR has played concerts and festivals. About the impressions she has made on one of those, Classic Rock Magazine wrote: “The Estonia born California based singer proves to be fearsome, claws out, she wolf.” Marya has also supported one of the artists of Rock Summer 25 – the UK ragga-metal band Skindred on some dates of their European tour. In Tallinn MR will perform with cool rock musicians. Vinny Appice on drums has played together with artists like Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Dio, Heaven and Hell as well as legendary ex-Beatles John Lennon just at the age of 16. Bass player James Lomenzo has been together with Megadeth, Ozzy Osbourne, Slash, White Lion, Black Label Society and guitarist Brent Woods with Sebastian Bach, Vince Neil, Bonzo Bash.
